Funeral poems do not need to be sad or tearful, as long as they reflect the character of the person you have lost. Poetry is the language of the soul, and, thus, its beauty can never be embellished.
General poems can be read during the eulogy by the person performing the funeral. One can give them in printed form, as books or as lettering in a frame, accompanied with photos of days gone by. Poems work especially well if you re the shy sort who finds it difficult to express love without feeling shy or embarrassed.
A poem should be written subtly and ensure it is not too emotional. A little poetic effort is the best Mother's Day gift she could have ever hoped for. Don t worry about studying poetry or writing a poem correctly.
So take it for what it is worth, and enjoy it. Poetry can do amazing things.
