birthday poems

It has been suggested that poetry was used in our long distant past as a creative means of passing along traditions and history simply because the poetic language was easy to memorize and enjoyable to recite. Friends and family can be really helpful at a time like this but this doesn't help you to put down on paper how you really felt about your mom.

As I have stated before in my other poetry articles, and as I believe it should be, each poem is a mini story unto itself. Even if your poem won't win any literary prizes, the person you present it to will most likely treasure it as if it were composed by one of the great Romantic poets. But using the experience and flair of a poet can produce for you a personalized poem for Valentine's Day that will live on in the memory of the intended for many years to come.

What a person sees is unique to their experience. Let your love for her flow out spontaneously in a few lines of verse. Consider adding a few lines to your wedding party favors.

Look at your local bookstore for poetry books that have memorial or condolence poems included or search online for posted poetry. Now you can give a poem to a loved one.
